Freddy Freeman made history. The first baseman overcame an ankle injury and took charge of being the Dodgers’ offensive leader to win the World Series against the Yankees.

Freeman was responsible for putting his name on the list of the best players in the World Series. The player finished with a .300 batting average with 6 hits, 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and 5 runs scored in 5 games in the 2024 World Series.

The Dodgers first baseman is the 12th player in history to win a regular season MVP and World Series MVP.

He made history with 4 home runs in the first four games of the World Series. He reached six consecutive games with at least one home run in the finals, the first player in history to do so.

“This is everything. I wouldn’t be here without the support of all these people and the organization. They have been difficult months and what we have had to go through has been difficult. Every Spring Training it is our goal to win this (the trophy),” Freeman said.

Freddie Freeman left his mark from Game 1

Freeman left his legacy in Game 1 with a walk-off grand slam for the Yankees at Dodger Stadium. From there, fate would let Freeman be the protagonist of the Yankees’ offense.

In Game 2 and Game 3 his home run hits marked the Dodgers’ offense that silenced the Bronx Bombers.

Even in the Game 4 loss, Freeman left a two-run home run. And in the fifth inning he hit a key hit that led the Dodgers to a tie.

Freddie Freeman is already part of the Dodgers’ history and gets his first ring with the franchise in his third season with the team.

In his career with the Dodgers, Freddie Freeman is hitting .314 with 563 hits, 72 home runs, 291 runs batted in and 329 runs scored in 467 career games for the Dodgers.
