Vinícius Jr. will not travel to the Ballon d’Or gala and neither will any member of Real Madrid this Monday. According to multiple reports, The Brazilian will not attend because he will not be a winner of the distinguished award.
The white team’s expedition that had planned to travel to Paris early in the afternoon canceled its trip after receiving this information. Although they internally studied whether Emilio Butragueño, Real Madrid’s director of institutional relations, should travel to the event, it was finally decided that this would not be the case either.
Vinícius, for his 24 goals and 11 assists in 39 games, with a double for ‘Champions’ – author of a goal in the final – and League, was perceived as the great candidate to win the award for best footballer, but, finally and according to the white team, it will not be like that.
According to reports, none of the team members will travel because they do not agree with the criteria. Rodri, of Manchester City and the Spanish national team, is expected to be the winner.

However, none of them will be present at the Ballon d’Or gala after knowing that Vinícius will not be awarded the Ballon d’Or.
