Dodgers announce starters for Games 3 and 4 of the World Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced the starters for games 3 and 4 of the World Series.

Dave Roberts will have Walker Buehler and a bullpen set for the first two games at Yankee Stadium.

Walker Buehler is coming off his best start in the playoffs. The right-hander pitched 4.0 innings without allowing runs, 2 walks, 6 strikeouts and 3 hits against the New York Mets. At least Buehler knows what the Big Apple atmosphere will be like.

Buehler to face right-hander Clarke Schmidt in World Series opener at Yankee Stadium.

The right-hander is 0-1 with a 6.00 ERA and 6 strikeouts in 2 appearances in the 2024 postseason.

For its part, in Game 4 it could be with a bullpen game with Michael Kopech or Ryan Brasier. Roberts will use his pitchers depending on the situation of the game, similar to the first of the series and the duel against the Mets.

Miguel Rojas enters the lineup for Game 2

Venezuelan shortstop Miguel Rojas enters the lineup as ninth in the order and shortstop for Game 2.

Gavin Lux will leave the lineup since the infielder is one of the hitters with a low average against left-handed pitchers, such as Carlos Rodón.

For his part, Tommy Edman will play in center field and Kiké Hernández moves from the outfield to second base.

Another change in the lineup will be Teoscar Hernández as third in the order and Freddie Freeman, the hero of Game 1, is in fourth place behind Ohtani, Betts and Hernández.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto will be the pitcher for this gamedebut in the World Series in his first year in the Major Leagues.

Yamamoto pitched 4.2 innings, allowed 2 runs, struck out 8 and went without a decision against the Mets in the Championship Series.
