LA Galaxy prepares to open the playoffs against the Colorado Rapids

The LA Galaxy begin their playoff campaign this Saturday at home, facing the Colorado Rapids in the first round of the MLS Cup.

With an outstanding record of 19-8-7 in the regular season and ranking first in the Western Conference, The Galaxy arrives at Dignity Health Sports Park backed by a solid performance.

While the Rapids, seventh in the same conference with a record of 15-14-5, will look for a surprise against a strong rival at home.

Facing the Rapids is nothing new for the Galaxy. During the regular season, these teams have already met twice, with the Galaxy winning the last match 3-1.

The Los Angeles team’s offense has been one of the best in the league, with a total of 68 goals this season and an average of 5.9 shots on goal per game, positioning itself as one of the most forceful teams in attack.

Gabriel Pec leads the team with 16 goals and 13 assists, while Riqui Puig has shown great performance, with seven goals and four assists in the last ten games.

On the other hand, Colorado Rapids, despite their ups and downs on the season, are 7-3-1 in games where he has managed to score two goals or more.
