The vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris said yesterday Sunday (10/20/2024) that her electoral rival Donald Trump “degrades” the position of president with her use of foul language, a day after the Republican insulted her using an expletive.

The Democratic candidate for the White House responded to the latest insults and said that Trump’s behavior “degrades” the Presidency of the United States.

On Saturday, Trump said at a rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania – one of seven key states in the upcoming election – that Harris is a “shitty vice president”a comment that was received with cheers by his followers.

“What you see in my opponent, a former president of the United States, really degrades the office”he said, in response to a question about the comments.

“The American people deserve much better. Donald Trump should not put himself behind the seal of president of the United States again. “He has not earned the right and that is why he is going to lose,” said the Democrat in an interview with activist Al Sharpton on MSNBC.

Harris said Trump should set a standard not only domestically, but internationally, and assured that his behavior “degrades the office” of the country’s Presidency.

With just over two weeks until Election Day, polls show Harris and Trump tied in the race for president, even in the key swing states that decide the US election.

Rude language

Trump has increasingly gone off script during campaign events, using coarse and sometimes bizarre language.

Trump’s comments, he added, degrade the “earned and self-proclaimed authority” of the United States. to talk about issues such as democracy and the rule of law.

Harris told MSNBC that the former president should not be allowed to lead the country again.

Trump’s campaign, 78, has been characterized by the use of forceful language and statements often far from reality, especially on the key electoral issue of immigration.

He has compared undocumented immigrants to animals, threatened revenge against those he considers his enemies, praised autocrats like Russia’s Vladimir Putin and described the United States as a broken nation that only he can fix.
