Santa Anita Park is getting ready to welcome the horse racing fans and especially birria tacos fanswhen the so-called “Birriamanía” festival was presented again.
The second edition of “Birriamanía”, presented by LA TACO, consists of a wide range of birria tacos that can be enjoyed on Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th at the facilities of the legendary racecourse in the city of Arcadia.
According to the organizers, “vendors of the best birria tacos in Los Angeles compete to be named the Birriamanía Champion”. LA TACO is a prestigious food and culture news site from the communities of the greater Los Angeles area.
Both days, starting at 12 pm, attendees will be able to enjoy the culinary delights offered at “Birriamanía,” as well as live music, mariachis, folk dancing, wrestling and more in the Santa Anita infield areawhose beauty facing the San Gabriel Mountains is something that in itself distinguishes it.
When it comes to birria tacos, one of the most popular dishes in Mexican food, the list of vendors includes Teddy’s Red Tacos, which is the champion of the previous edition of the contest in 2022; Birriería San Marcos, Birria Don Cuco, Birria Pa La Cruda, Basket Taco Co., La Cosina De Yesi, The Drunk Chef and Taquería Frontera.
“Birriamanía” is an event dedicated primarily to the Latino community and has special prices, including $10 per ticket if admission is purchased online, according to organizers. There are also taco and drink packages, plus admission and parking, starting at $39.

The Santa Anita Racetrack presented an event on September 28 that organizers hope will become a new tradition: The California Crown, defined as an intersection of sports, entertainment and lifestyle.
The event was attended by numerous celebrities, including Beyoncé, Cher, JAY-Z, Sharon Stone, Kathy Griffin, Mario Lopez, Richard Stark, Laurie Lynn Stark, Jesse Metcalf, Allison Janney, Damson Idris, Rachel Harris, Bobby Flay, Symba and The Compton Cowboys.
The $1 million California Crown race was won by Argentina’s Subsanador, trained by Richard Mandella and ridden by legendary jockey Mike Smith. In addition to the bag, a spectacular trophy designed by Chrome Hearts in 22 karat gold was presented.
Nearly 22,000 spectators attended that first event of the fall season at Santa Anita and the betting amount was more than $23.5 million dollars on a menu of 10 races.
