On Thursday, Harris, who campaigned in cities across Wisconsin, touted her own combative performance on Fox News Wednesday night as a sign of her willingness to talk to people “regardless of their political party” or “where they get their money.” news”.

He noted that that same night, Trump had appeared at a Univision town hall where a 56-year-old self-described Republican said that I was alarmed by what happened on January 6, 2021 and he wanted to give the former president the “opportunity to try to get my vote back.”

Trump responded by calling this event “a day of love.” and appeared to include himself when referring to those who entered the Capitol that day as “us.”

“There were no weapons there; “We didn’t have guns,” Trump said. “The others had weapons, but we didn’t.”

In La Crosse and Green Bay, Harris said the riot at the Capitol, in which Trump supporters trying to stop the assertion of Joe Biden’s 2020 victory assaulted more than 140 police officers, damaged the building. and destroyed government property, It was a “tragic day” and “terrible violence.”

Five people died in the assault on the Capitol. A police officer was beaten, a rioter was shot and three others were killed during the attack.
