They find alive Vicente Verástegui, deputy and uncle of Eduardo Verástegui who was kidnapped

The deputy of the National Action Party (PAN) of Tamaulipas, Vicente Verástegui Ostoswas located alive after being reported kidnapped.

The victim, who was also identified as the uncle of the renowned actor and activist Eduardo Verasteguiwas kidnapped in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas on Friday afternoon. State authorities confirmed that armed men deprived the official of his freedom at his “La Lupita” ranch.

A search operation was immediately implemented to locate the legislator, and the trail of armed men who arrived on motorcycles and a white vehicle was followed.

A helicopter with night vision and high technology joined the searchaccording to the newspaper El Universal. Local media revealed that the commando fired multiple shots before kidnapping the victim.

Confirmation that Verástegui Ostos was alive and in good condition came on the morning of October 12 from the Tamaulipas Security Spokesperson’s Office.

Who is Vicente Verástegui?

Vicente Verástegui Ostos has held several positions in politics, both local and federal, the most recent being sworn in on September 29 to join the 66th Legislature.

He is the brother of the former general secretary of the government and former candidate for governor, César “Truko” Verásteguiwho was given the candidacy that was originally for Francisco Javier Garcia Cabeza de Vaca, former governor of Tamaulipas, who is being investigated for several crimes.

He is also the brother of Alba Verástegui Ostos, councilor of the Ciudad Madero City Council, about whom there is not much information, but last year he disassociated himself from the Cabeza de Vaca, although he said that his brothers did have a relationship with them.

The Tamaulipas deputy is an agronomist. Before entering politics, the family’s forte was agriculture, mainly the production of sugar cane, which is why he was a representative of unions in that field, as reported by the newspaper. Millennium.
