Barack Obama reminded citizens that when choosing the next American president, they must take into account Donald Trump’s “arrogance, clumsiness, boastfulness and division” as a liability hindering progress.

In order to take advantage of his popularity, the former Democratic president headlined an event in favor of Kamala Harris held in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In the first instance, Barack Hussein Obama II focused on highlighting the strengths of the woman who aspires to become the nation’s first president.

“We have an exceptional woman, of great character and extraordinary achievements, who has already been vice president of the United States. Therefore, we don’t have to imagine if it can happen. “It can happen, but it will depend on our willingness to do the work,” he said.

Obama then tried to frame the difference between his party’s candidate and Donald Trump.

“You have someone who grew up like you, knows you, went to college with you, understands the struggles and the pain and the joy that comes from those experiences. A woman who has had to work harder to surpass herself and achieve the second highest position in the country. She is putting forward concrete proposals to directly address the things that are vital in our neighborhoods and our communities.

On the other hand, you have someone who has consistently demonstrated his indifference, not only towards communities, but towards you as a person.”, he noted.

In addition, the Democrat assured the citizens of Pittsburgh that Trump’s return to the White House will continue to divide the country instead of moving it forward.

“We don’t need four more years of arrogance, clumsiness, grandstanding and division. The United States is ready to turn the page. “We are ready for a better story, one that helps us work together instead of against each other,” he mentioned.

At the moment, most polls keep Kamala Harris ahead of Donald Trump, but the Republican seems to have overcome his eventful participation in the presidential debate; while his rival in turn stopped growing in the polls and his average advantage is reduced to three points, which projects a very close election, since the margin of undecided voters is still considerable.
