Colombia will wear an allusive t-shirt for the 100 years of its federation

The Colombian Football Federation announced that the team will be wearing a commemorative t-shirt for the 100 years of its foundation in this Tuesday’s match against Chile on the tenth date of the South American qualifiers towards the 2026 World Cup.

Under the name “The Magic of the Centenary” the FCF together with the German brand Adidas (which dresses the team) presented the piece that the Colombian players will wear only during the match against the Australs in the Metropolitano of Barranquilla.

The FCF, founded on October 12, 1924, chose the design of the first shirt used by the national team to inspire this new model that features the colors of the Colombian flag on the chest on a white shirt that will have the centenary logo. in gold.

“The new exclusive skin, in an elegant white color, symbolizes not only the Centennial but the spirit of humble beginnings and the memorable greatness of those who have worn the national uniform, accompanying them with the flag of Colombia and the logo that celebrates 100 years. ”explained the FCF.

“In addition, the embroidery on the collar features the vibrant colors of the Colombian flag, adding a touch of national identity”added the statement, referring to more details of the new shirt that James Rodríguez, Cristián Borja and Luis Díaz, among others, will be wearing.

For his part, the president of the Colombian federation, Ramón Jeserún, highlighted how the design highlights the achievements of the Colombian team throughout these first 100 years of history in which, among other things, they managed to win a Copa América and qualify for the Copa America six times. the World Cup.
