Justin Timberlake was complicit in a marriage proposal. On Monday, at his show in New York, the 43-year-old singer saw a sign in the audience that said: “Can I propose to Sarah?”
Immediately, The “SexyBack” singer stopped the show, pointed to the man holding the sign and asked, “Are you ready?”. Timberlake gave the fan a microphone to make his marriage proposal.
“I love you, you are my best friend. “Do you want to marry me?” the man asked his girlfriend. while the stage screens projected the moment.
The response was positive and the audience at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn went crazy and celebrated the response.
After the romantic moment, the singer congratulated the couple and continued with the show. “Make some noise for Donald and Sarah!” he said. “I can’t get over that. That’s fine thanks. “Everyone have a good night,” Timberlake joked.
The romantic moment comes just a few weeks after Justin Timberlake reached a plea deal after he was arrested in June for driving while intoxicated.
Why was Justin Timberlake arrested?
In June, Justin Timberlake was arrested for drunk driving and running a stop sign after leaving dinner with friends at The American Hotel in Sag Harbor on Long Island.
According to him Daily Mail, The police report indicated that the singer had trouble keeping his car in his lane while driving and also ran a stop sign.
Upon arresting him, police officers noticed several signs of intoxication. “His eyes were red and glassy, he had a strong smell of alcohol, his speech was slow and he had difficulty maintaining attention,” they indicated.
At the time of his arrest, The singer also had an argument with the officers who detained him because he refused to take a test to measure his blood alcohol level.. “No, I’m not going to do a chemical test. I refuse. “I refuse,” Timberlake refuted.
The singer was formally charged with driving under the influence and received two additional citations: one for running a stop sign and another for failing to maintain his lane.
Within hours of the arrest, Justin Timberlake was released without paying bail. Additionally, he was banned from driving for one year in New York State.
