Saturday, October 5 The comedy show “Saturday Night Live” featured a sketch in which the actor Marcello Hernandez did a parody of “Giant Saturday”the variety and game show hosted by Don Francisco for 53 years. A few hours later, he reacted to that humorous moment.

This was the first broadcast of “Sábado Gigante” with Don Francisco in 1962

Don Francisco (whose real name is Mario Luis Kreutzberger) turned to his account instagram and wrote: I want to thank “Saturday Night Live” and Marcello Hernandez for bringing to mind those special moments of our beloved “Giant Saturday”. Not only was it a great television program, it was much more: a meeting point for families and for our Hispanic community. Thanks to the unconditional support of the public, we closed that chapter almost 10 years ago, but the love and respect for what we built together remains as alive as ever. Thank you for so much!”
