Drag queen could take legal action against Trump for using her image

Drag queen Pattie Gonia, whose real name is Wyn Wiley, acknowledged being upset with Donald Trump’s campaign team for using her image in a video and anticipated that he is considering taking legal action against him.

Last week, some images of Pattie Gonia appeared in a campaign ad for the 78-year-old Republican who hopes to govern the country again.

The goal of the promo was to highlight the support that Kamala Harris would give to transgender Americans if she became president.

The Democrat is even heard saying in the 2020 campaign that she would support giving trans inmates access to gender-affirming care.

And to reaffirm this approach, the Democrat appears posing with drag queen Pattie Gonia to have some photographs taken of them during an event held in Pride month 2022.

As the images emerge, a narrator’s voice is heard in the background saying: “Kamala is with them; President Trump is with you.”

In this regard, Pattie Gonia published a video on her social networks where she denounces the advisors for having used her image without her consent and warns them that she is studying the legal way to impose a sanction on them.

“The Trump campaign did not have my permission to use my name or image. We are reviewing our legal options and yes, I’m going to do what queer people always do, turn our pain into something positive,” he said.

It should be noted that The popularity of this drag queen is reflected in her more than 690,000 followers on Instagram and 460,000 on TikTok.

In fact, at the time, the social media celebrity urged her fans to join an online fundraiser organized by LGBTQ rights groups Point of Pride and Trans Lifeline.

So far, no representative of the Trump campaign has commented on the matter. However, It is not the first time that the Republican has gotten into trouble due to the inappropriate use of content.
