Xóchitl Gálvez, senator and former candidate for the presidency of Mexicorekindled the flame of controversy against the arbitration work of Marco Antonio “Gato” Ortiz, by pointing out in an interview with the newspaper Récord that said marking was wrong and that in the end cost the cement team the title.

“I do believe that it was not a penalty, to be honest. Gálvez was a guest on the Buen Morning Show on RÉCORD+, where the legislator detailed her arguments about what could have been a victory in the recent Aztec football final and where the mistaken participation of the whistler “Gato” Ortiz It is still a very heavy load in the current Apertura 2024 tournament.

In his presentation, Gálvez highlighted the great work that Argentine coach Martín Anselmi is doing in the Celeste Machine, highlighting that the most important thing is the work of the team above individualities.

“I think this Cruz Azul is much better. There are many things that I like. The game system, I think Anselmi has made everyone go, everyone returns, no one is indispensable,” he expressed.

He also highlighted that the current strategist of the Cruz Azul must stay in the cement team for a long time: “I think he is the right coach, not only because he can win the title, but because he plays in a way that attracts and generates confidence.”

Xóchitl showed her great knowledge of all the details of the cement squad, it is not by chance that she has been a fan of these colors since the 70s, when he enjoyed the golden age of the institution that had its origins in Jasso, Hidalgo.

The senator also took time to remember the final of the 2013 Clausura tournament, when America took the result out of their hands in actions that remain incredible to this day: “To deny your soccer team is to deny your childhood… It was very hard for me… because from the 3-0 loss we went to a draw and there I said: ‘It was enough.’ Already after penalties, psychologically the team was down. I got out in the penalties and went crying to my car. I turned off my networks,” revealed the former contender for the presidential seat of Mexico.

It’s not the first time that Xóchitl Gálvez dares to play Cruz Azul songs, since on multiple occasions he has been seen enjoying the victories of the Celestial Machine and on others putting his chest to the bullets with the failures that have led to the celestials being placed against the wall due to inexplicable defeats.
