Controversy is the order of the day on the Chivas de Guadalajara bench. Reports indicate that Fernando Gago could leave the Sacred Flock to coach Boca Juniors. Jorge Pietrasanta criticized the Argentine strategist in case this change is formalized.
Chivas de Guadalajara could be left without a coach. The call from Boca Juniors destabilized the process of Fernando Gago and the Sacred Flock. Jorge Pietrasanta does not agree that The Argentine considers leaving without fulfilling his contract.
“I understand the payments, what you tell me and etc., but, Where is the professional matter, your commitment to sports? “If he leaves, I would tell you, ‘What a bad mother!'” Pietrasanta said on ESPN’s Fútbol Picante.
The communicator called the Argentine strategist a “mercenary.” Pietrasanta recalled the case of Diego Cocca, former coach of Tigres de la UANL who stopped the process to accept the call from the Mexican team.
“I understand, but they call them Boca and they go crazy, I don’t agree with the mercenaries (…) He is not the same as a player, he is the head of a project. It’s the same thing that Cocca happened with Tigres“he explained.
Gago would have accepted Boca Juniors
According to information presented by Mediotiempo, Fernando Gago would have already given a positive response to Boca Juniors’ approaches. In this sense, it would be a matter of time before the Argentine terminates his contract with the Sacred Flock.
“Gago said yes and It even seems that there is already an economic agreement for the signing of a strategist with Boca, The only thing missing is the procedures that the DT agent will also take care of,” the report says.
Fernando Gago has a current contract with Chivas de Guadalajara until December of this year. In view of the correct results, the board was considering renewing his contract until 2028. But everything seems to indicate that the Argentine strategist will not reach the end of the season with the club.
