The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, He held his last morning conference from the National Palace in Mexico Cityone day before handing over the presidential sash to Claudia Sheinbaum.
In the presence of dozens of representatives of traditional and alternative media, López Obrador arrived at the Treasury room sharply at 7:15 in the morning. after holding his last security cabinet meeting.
“Good morning, cheer up, cheer up! Well, thank you very much for participating in these conferences for almost six years, this circular dialogue that concludes today. “I am very pleased that this exercise of authentic communication of messages back and forth continues, as offered by the president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum,” he expressed.
López Obrador assured that he leaves very satisfied with what he achieved during his six-year term and always thinking first of the poorest in the country.
“I can’t help but say that I am very satisfied with the affection of many Mexican women and men, which I appreciate with all my heart.I dedicated myself to serving the people. I feel very proud, very happy that we attended to everyone, we listened to everyone, we respected everyone but we gave preference to those most in need. “We put into practice our principle that for the good of all, the poor come first,” he assured.
“And it was not only a proclamation, it was not only a motto, it became a reality because we achieved, and That is another mark of pride, reducing poverty and inequality in our country Despite the pandemic that caused us so much pain and knocked down our economy like it had not happened in more than a century, we got up and managed to recover economic growth that was still limited by that external economic crisis,” he mentioned.
“And even when the economy grew little, how there was a fair distribution of the wealth of income, the budget, how the budget was distributed to everyone, how Salaries were increased as had not happened in decades, as corruption was not allowed, as there were no luxuries in the governmentthe living conditions and working conditions of the majority of Mexicans could be improved,” he assured.
The head of the Mexican executive said that he is very happy to hand over the presidential sash to Claudia Sheinbaum, whom he described as a woman of “good feelings.”

The Mexican president took advantage of his last morning conference to sign two constitutional reforms: the reform of the National Guard, which will now be administered by the Mexican Army, and the reform to guarantee the rights of the indigenous peoples of Mexico.
