Fans of Prince, who died on April 21, 2016, will have a unique opportunity, after it was announced that the mansion from the movie ‘Purple Rain’, which marked his debut on the big screen, was released in the Airbnb platform to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film’s release.
The house, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will open its doors for a total of 25 stays, so not only one, but several fans will be able to live the experience. The registration date begins next October 2.
The stays will run from October 26 to December 14 and each will have a maximum capacity of four guests.
This dynamic, which will allow followers to relive ‘El Niño’, will be possible thanks to the union of Lisa Coleman and Wendy Melvoinsinger and guitarist of The Revolutionrespectively, who remodeled the property for this tribute.
“The entire place is more than a tribute, it is a shrine dedicated to both the film and the historic moment that launched Prince into the stratosphere!” reads the description of the listing posted on Airbnb.
In total, those who are chosen will be able to enjoy two bedrooms and two bathrooms, in addition to the common areas of the property.
In addition to being able to tour each of the rooms of the house, Prince fans will also be able to immerse themselves in the underworld of their idol thanks to the memories that are treasured there.
Fans will have access to Prince’s personal tape collection, his royal outfits and several of his favorite perfumes, which they can even smell. Also to a vintage 80s stereo preloaded with songs that inspired The Kid.
Prince’s closet will also be open and what can we say about the spa that was decorated as a tribute to the “When Doves Cry” video, as well as the secret space full of treasures that can be accessed after solving a puzzle through vinyl.
