Jack O’Lanterns at Whittier Narrows

The Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns event at Whittier Narrows Recreation Area (750 S. Anita Ave., South El Monte) returns with an immersive experience featuring thousands of hand-carved, illuminated pumpkins. There are also play areas with inflatable mattresses, new pumpkin scenes and a light and music show scheduled every 30 minutes. Ends November 2. Tickets start at $25. Scary Farm at Knott’s

This year’s Knott’s Scary Farm at Knott’s Berry Farm (8039 Beach Blvd., Buena Park) includes two new mazes and a new experience dedicated to legendary Scary Farm member Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. There are ten mazes, five spooky scare zones and three shows. New this year are Eight Fingers Nine: The Boogeyman and Widows mazes and the Yours Cruelly, Elvira EXXperience. Closing of the Hola Mexico festival

The closing of the Hola Mexico Film Festival will feature the screening of the film “Todos menos tú” at the LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes (501 N. Main St., Los Angeles). At the end, singer-songwriter and activist Vivir Quintana, considered by Forbes Mexico as one of the most creative Mexicans, will offer a concert. Tomorrow Friday at 7:30 pm. Tickets $30. Bilingual theatre at the Margo Albert Theatre

The Bilingual Foundation of the Arts will begin performances of Our Lady of the Tortilla at the Margo Albert Theater (3540 N. Mission Rd., Los Angeles). The comedy chronicles the vibrant and chaotic dynamics of the Cruz family. The play alternates in English and Spanish and is suitable for all ages. Halloween at Sesame Place

The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular is now open at Sesame Place (2052 Entertainment Cir., Chula Vista). Guests can enjoy a parade of costumed park characters. There will be scavenger hunts and trick-or-treating throughout the park. The not-so-scary experience includes rides, water slides and photo opportunities. Every weekend through November 3. Pixar Pop-Up in Long Beach

Pixar Putt is a pop-up experience coming to the West Coast for the first time; an 18-hole mini-golf course featuring beloved Pixar characters and inspired by stories from films such as Toy Story, The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, Coco, A Bug’s Life, Wall-E and Inside Out. Art exhibit in Glendale

The City of Glendale Library, Arts and Culture Department (222 E. The Vampire Circus at the Montalbán

The Vampire Circus, a theatrical experience that fuses art, theater and acrobatics, returns to the Montalbán Theater (1615 Vine St., Los Angeles) with a show set in a fantastical universe where creatures of the night reign. Salsa at Union Station

Metro Art presents an afternoon of dance and music at Union Station ( 800 N. Alameda St., Los Angeles). The evening begins with dance lessons with instructors Laroye Aña and Jhesus Aponte. The Red Bull final in Venice

The final of Red Bull BC One, a breakdancing competition, will take place at Venice Beach (1 Winward Ave., Venice).
