Authorities reported that A woman who apparently felt so at home in a stranger’s home in Wisconsin that she cooked a shrimp and pasta dinner has been arrested for burglary.

The person who lives at the home came home late Tuesday night to find the lights on and someone inside, Madison police said in a report.

The woman was walking calmly inside the home when officers showed up and ordered her to come to the door. She “calmly told officers she had permission from the resident to be in the home,” according to the report cited by The Associated Press.

The woman also mentioned the resident by name to officers and said she had been given keys to the home earlier that day after meeting the resident at a coffee shop.

In addition to cooking a meal, the woman “apparently went through mail and other items to find out the resident’s name and make up a story,” the police report continued.

The person living in the home insisted to officers that he had never met the woman who was later jailed.

Madison is about 80 miles (129 kilometers) west of Milwaukee.
