The life of Spanish singer Rocío Dúrcal will be brought to the big screenin a still untitled film that will have the company in production Sony Music Vision.

He biopic will show the childhood of Dúrcal (whose real name was Maria de los Angeles de las Heras Ortiz) in Madrid; her career as a child singer and later as an actress, as well as her marriage to Antonio Morales and the fame he gained in Mexico for singing ranchera songs written by Juan GabrielThe artist, known as “the most Mexican Spaniard”, died on March 25, 2006 due to uterine cancer.

The film about the life of Rocío Dúrcal has been authorized by her family. Her daughters Shaila and Carmen expressed the emotion that this project causes them. “It is an unimaginable honour to see the story of our mother, a woman who left an indelible mark on the world of music and cinema, come to life on the big screen. Almost two decades after her passing, this film is a tribute to her legacy, and we hope it will encourage new generations to discover and appreciate the immense talent and passion with which she lived her life.”
Some of the successful albums of Rocio Durcal are Confidences, Always and Sing to Juan Gabriel. Among his most popular singles are: “The Garland”, “The Cat in the Rain”, “Let me live”, “I’m Not Good At Being Without You” and “Traditions”.
