“Regarding the Berterame case, he was always aware of what happened, “I asked him how he was, and after the operation he was also attentive. It is true that I was hearing a lot of things about how he could be disqualified, I know it was a difficult play, a difficult moment, but that is how football is, my board told me that there was that possibility of disqualification, but personally I said no, I saw that he is an important player for the club and I saw that he is a person who is not evil,” said the Colombian.

And he added: “I think it was an unfortunate move. And well, unfortunately what happened happened and I want him to continue enjoying himself now, to continue contributing to his club, which is the most important thing,” he highlighted in the public message dedicated to Germán Berterame.

Finally, he thanked all the fans for their support during these difficult times due to his injury: “So I have to thank all the people who have supported me because they have been there, watching over this situation, which is really difficult, because one always wants to be contributing on the field to one’s club and one’s team, and since we can’t do that, especially in the situation we are in, it is part of football and there is no other option than to keep working,” he concluded.
