Legendary Mike Tyson, former heavyweight champion, expressed that He doesn’t like the possible confrontation at all between Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez and Terence Crawford at super middleweight and explained the reason.

In an interview with the YouTube channel It is What It Is, Tyson indicated that Weight will affect Crawford’s performance against Canelo Alvarez and that could be seen in his fight against Israil Madrimov at 154 pounds.

“I don’t like that fight (Canelo vs. Crawford). Too much weight. He had a close fight with the last guy he fought (Madrimov) because he was big and very clumsy. He shouldn’t have even fought that guy,” he said.

If the duel takes place, most sports experts predict that Bud will be at a disadvantage due to weight and will not be able to defeat the man from Guadalajarawhile others believe that size would not be an issue because the American has the skills necessary to beat the 168-pound champion on his own turf.

Turki Alalshikh had been working on a fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford. The Arab authority He sent him an offer for the duel to take place in the United States at the end of the year or early 2025.

Although Canelo Alvarez denied having received the offer, his trainer Eddy Reynoso confirmed that he did, but that is not what they are asking for, since they want $150 million dollars. For this reason, the Arab sheikh had ruled out this duel and the man from Guadalajara made it clear that if they work together it will be in his own way.

After beating Edgar Berlanga in Las Vegas, Alalshikh and Terence Crawford challenged Canelo Alvarez again And, although the Mexican did not want to talk about it, there is a very real possibility that the fight will happen in May, according to a report by journalist Sean Zittel.
