LAFC can’t get back on track towards victory and is paying the consequences. This Saturday The Los Angeles team fell against FC Dallas 3-1 and gave up valuable points in the fight for the top spot in the West.

A couple of weeks ago the Black & Gold were in second place from his conference, but After poor results they have dropped to fourth, surpassed in the table by Real Salt Lake and Colorado Rapids; the lead remains with the Galaxy, who are now 9 points ahead.

At Toyota Stadium in Texas, LAFC quickly went down and couldn’t get back up. They were down 3-0 on the scoreboard and it was a heavy burden to overcome in a game in which they didn’t shine.

After a warning from Ferreira that shook the goal post defended by the world champion in Russia 2018 Hugo Lloris, the first goal fell for the Texans, through the boots of Petar Musawho took advantage of a serious defensive errorstole the ball in a dangerous area and shot across the goal to beat the French goalkeeper.

The second goal came in the second half, at 60′ when LAFC was playing its best, with a great collective play by Dallas that started with its goalkeeper and culminated, after 8 touches, in the back of the rival goal with a right-footed shot from Patrickson Delgado.

That goal destroyed LAFC’s aspirations and The final blow came just two minutes later in another good team play, in which Ferreira slipped through on the right flank and sent a filtered ball that ended with a goal Logan Farrington, who finished from the edge of the chic areaa, leaving Lloris with no chance.

The discount came in the final stretch, with a goal from Eduard Atuestawho shot left-footed from outside the area and the ball was deflected off the back of a defender, who altered the trajectory of the ball, preventing the goalkeeper from stopping the goal.

With this result, LAFCwithout Carlos Vela yet, has accumulated three losses (Dynamo, Galaxy and FC Dallas) and two draws (Dynamo again and Austin FC) in the last five games.

The Black & Gold dropped to fourth place at 49 points, nine points behind the leaders, the Galaxy, who have 58. Second place is occupied by Real Salt Lake, who have reached 51 points, and this week the Colorado Rapids slipped into third place with 50.

LAFC will arrive with this negative record in tow to the US Open Cup final next Wednesday against Sporting Kansas City, which fell 0-2 at home to Minnesota.
