Chappell Roan was diagnosed with severe depression after his rise to fame

In an interview with ‘The Guardian’, Chappell Roan He confessed that he was diagnosed with severe depression after his rise to fame.

“Last week I went to a psychiatrist because I didn’t know what was happening to me. I was diagnosed with severe depression, which I didn’t think I had because I’m not really sad.”

“But I have all the symptoms of someone who is severely depressed,” she added. According to what she described, the symptoms are: lack of concentration, mental confusion and forgetfulness.

Chappell Roan believes this diagnosis comes from her rise to fame. She is now a superstar, whereas before she was an artist singing underground pop.

“If I want to go shopping for second-hand items, I have to hire a security guard and prepare for this not to be normal.. Going to the park, doing pilates, yoga… How can I do it safely, without being harassed or being bullied?” she reflected on the subject.

Honest about fame

This isn’t the first time the star has spoken about his rise to fame. At his concerts, he has mentioned to his fans that he is having “trouble” dealing with all the attention he is receiving.

Roan’s success came after her hit song ‘Good Luck, Babe’. She was also in charge of opening Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Guts’ tour, her album ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’from 2023, allowed him to be the famous star he is today.
