Omar Chaparro refused to be part of 'LCDLFM' because of “his career”

Omar Chaparro, a well-known Mexican host, said that he refused to be part of ‘La Casa de los Famosos México 2’, and that the decision was based on an analysis by his team.

The reality show is one of the most popular in Mexico and this second edition has been marked by controversy.

In an interview on Jessie Cervantes’ radio show, Chaparro revealed that he received an invitation to participate in La Casa de los Famosos, but decided to reject it. Despite not being a fervent fan of the reality show, He admitted that he has been aware of some events of the current season in Mexico.

“Thank God I didn’t get involved because I was invited and I didn’t want to,” the actor commented, adding that his decision was based on careful analysis with his team. Then, he later hinted who did it for the sake of his career.

Chaparro remembers his past in ‘Big Brother’

Chaparro is known for his participation in the Mexican version of ‘Big Brother’, the reality show -Spanish-, which is the basis for making ‘The House of the Famous’.

“It would be great, I already won once (on Big Brother), maybe I could win again, but it would also distract me from my dream. The universe will give you everything that you don’t ask for, but everything that you vibrate, and right now I’m vibrating in music,” he explained, making it clear that his focus is on his musical career.

During the conversation, the actor also gave his opinion on the current season of La Casa de los Famosos México. He shared an anecdote about his meeting with Brenda Bezares, wife of Mario Bezares, to whom he gave a t-shirt with the image of the participant and the phrase “Interesting point of view”that has become emblematic among the contestants.

Chaparro reflected on the evolution of reality shows, noting that although the concept remains the same, times have changed.

“I think times have changed; maybe they have tightened some screws, but Big Brother and La Casa de los Famosos are the same. Times change, skin gets thinner, you have to be very careful with what you say, the issue of mental health is a serious matter.”

The Mexican highlighted that not only the attractiveness of the format, but also the personal and professional considerations that influence the decision to participate in this type of reality show.

‘La Casa de los Famosos México 2’ is in its final stages. The reality show will end on September 29. The first finalist was Karime Pindter, after having won the dynamic assigned by ‘The Boss’.
