“LCDLFM 2”: Mario remembers the death of his brother

Mario Bezares has won the affection of the public “The House of the Famous Mexico 2” for sharing his personal and professional experiences. Recently, during a conversation with several of the tenants, he recounted one of the most painful chapters of his life, which happened in 1994; it was the death of his brother, the actor, director, playwright and dancer Rodolfo Rodriguez.

Mayito He said that his brother began to complain of pain. “I know death again, with my eldest brother, Rodolfo Rodriguez. I told him off. ‘It can’t be Rodolfo, you have to go see the doctor, it’s already mild.’ He was seeing a homeopathic doctor.

Mario showed a lot of concern for Rodolfo. “I told him: ‘I’ll take you to the doctor tomorrow.’ He worked through the pain, because you can’t miss work, the show has to go on. The results come out and so on, and my brother Rodolfo tells the doctor: ‘The only person I want to know about my illness is my brother Mario.’ And The doctor tells me: ‘Your brother has lymphatic cancer, and there is no way to save him.’ And I remain silent, watching him waste away.”

Bezares combined her work with caring for her brother, who underwent painful treatments. “He received chemotherapy, his hair fell out. Many people said he had AIDS, but that’s not true. It was his cancer, which was already terrible. In the last days, he was already in bed, dying of pain. He gets worse, he dies clinically, he goes home, he grabs my hand, and I said to him: ‘You’re fed up, aren’t you? You want to leave now, don’t you?’ And he said: ‘Yes.’

“I told him: ‘Don’t worry, that’s what I’m here for, I’ll take care of it.’ I got home and told my wife, ‘My brother is going to die.’ She said goodbye to me.and they called me on the phone. They took him to the hospital, and I started to hear my brother’s cries. And suddenly I heard silence, and I told my wife: ‘My brother is gone.’ Rodolfo Rodriguez died at the age of 41. Apart from his character in the popular television show “Cachún Cachún Ra Ra”some of the plays in which he acted were “Puppet”, “The Boys in the Band” and “Madam President”.
