Sofia Vergara reacts to her loss at the Emmys: “I was robbed for the fifth time”

Sofia Vergara lost her Emmy statuette for the fifth timeThe Colombian actress was nominated in the category of Best Actress in a Miniseries for Griseldaan award that was finally won by Jodie Foster for True Detective: Night Country.

After the announcement of the winners, Vergara shared her reaction on social media for not winning the Emmy. “I didn’t get an Emmy but I did get a burger,” the actress wrote alongside a video of herself sitting thoughtfully while eating.

In another video, posted on her Instagram account, Sofia Vergara can be heard saying: “They stole my Emmy for the fifth time,” as she left the awards ceremony held at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.

This was not Vergara’s first Emmy nomination. Between 2009 and 2013, the actress was nominated four times for the awards for her role as Gloria Delgado in the series Modern Family; however, he did not manage to take home any statuettes.

“I wanted to make Griselda’s movements and gestures completely different from my character’s. which I played for eleven years in Modern Family. That was one of my main concerns. I wanted to not walk like Gloria or me, not stand like that, not use my hands in any way that was sexy and very Latina, like I am.”, he said.

The body posture he adopted during the months of filming had negative effects on his health, as it caused a back injury.

“I created this body position that, after three months, gave me problemsI had to get an injection in my lower back because I was walking in that bad position, and then I had to do it for another three months. I think I’ve injured my back forever“, said the actress.
