I have worked like an animal, but I am so afraid of going back and I know that many people can identify with me, but I am afraid of going back to where I came from.”.

The intensity of her words and her tears revealed the depth of her anguish and the effort she has invested in building her present.

Dr. Nancy Alvarez’s reflection

Dr. Nancy Gonzalez, who was present on set, approached to offer emotional support. “Forgive me, sweet eyes, because I always criticize you for talking too much about money. Now I understand you, and do you see why we have to understand? Why are people the way they are? Right? People are almost always the way they are and the reason they are like that is something very painful, you will never go back there, I will not allow it, although I do not have as much money as you.”said the doctor with empathy and understanding.

Amara, who thanked the doctor, also stressed her desire to protect her daughters from the difficulties she herself has faced. “I also don’t want them to see that in life you have to work and work, you have to share, live with your family, there are more beautiful things in life than just money, but I also don’t want them to ever experience the scarcity of not having food, of having to wait until tomorrow to see what they can get, I don’t want them to experience that and that’s also why I work so hard.”he said.
