Jay Wheeler Says He Will Give His Life To God, Here's Why!

Jay Wheeler confessed, in his podcast ‘Random Chat’, that he will give his life to God and join the religion that Daddy Yankee preaches.

The Puerto Rican took advantage of his platform to share a moving personal story that marked a before and after in his life. At the beginning of September, just two days after becoming a father with his wifesinger Zhamira Zambrano, Wheeler suffered a serious car accident that almost cost him his life.

In a recent episode of his podcast, the singer detailed the dramatic events of that day. According to Wheeler, the vehicle in which he was The vehicle was traveling on its side due to slippery pavement conditions, causing the car to slide unexpectedly and end up upside down.

“We weren’t speeding, but the wet pavement made the car slide out of nowhere.”he explained. In the midst of his desperate attempts to get out of the vehicle without success, Wheeler thought his life was in danger.

The reggaeton singer cried out to God

The reggaeton singer described a moment of deep anguish in which, in his desperation, he cried out to God: “In desperation that I could die, I said ‘My God,’ and immediately afterward someone opened the door, dressed in white.”

This person, whom Wheeler considers a divine sign, was the one who rescued him and managed to get him out of the overturned car alive.. This miraculous rescue led to Jay Wheeler to reflect on his faith and make a meaningful decision.

Wheeler said that despite having long postponed the decision to give his life to God for fear that it might affect his music career, the incident made him reconsider.

“I felt it was the right time to give my life to God.”

This spiritual event aligns with a growing trend in the reggaeton genre, where artists like Daddy Yankee and Farruko have also found their way to the Christian faith.

Today, Daddy Yankee, one of the greatest exponents of reggaeton, announced that he will begin to include songs dedicated to God in his repertoirefollowing his own spiritual path.

The decision of Wheeler from Following Jesus joins this wave of personal transformations in the world of reggaetonreflecting a search for purpose and faith in the midst of success and adversity.

The singer is known for songs such as ‘La Casualidad’, ‘Te soñé’ and ‘Pacto’.
