Christian Nodal has made his position clear in the face of sensationalism and criticism he has received regarding his role as the father of his daughter, Inti.
Tired of baseless speculation, Christian Nodal decided to confront the media. They have accused him of being an absent father for not sharing photos or congratulations of his daughter on social media. The criticism intensified recently, when he did not publish anything for the first birthday of the daughter he had with the Argentine singer Cazzu.
The Mexican singer has been harshly criticized on several occasions for not making posts celebrating his daughter, which has given rise to a series of narratives that he implies are toxic. Through some posts on his social networks, Nodal opened up to his followers, explaining the real reason why he does not expose his daughter on his platforms. For him, it is not about a lack of love or commitment, but about protecting his daughter from the media hype.
“Now they ask me why I don’t post pictures of my daughter on her birthday; why I don’t congratulate my daughter on social media. How bad this is, how bad that is”Nodal said, referring to the constant judgments he has been subjected to, especially for his daughter’s recent birthday and the fact that he did not make any publication in her honor.
Nodal said that the toxic environment generated around a simple post is not something he wants for his daughter. “A post, even if it is written with all my heart, turns into a mess in the comments. Why would I expose my daughter to that? I don’t want to,” he said, making it clear that he does not intend to fuel sensationalism.
For Nodal, true love and parenthood are not demonstrated with posts on social media, but with presence and dedication. “The important thing is that my baby sees, when she opens the family photo album, that her daddy is always there… he flies 24, 26, 28 hours to share days with her.”
The artist concluded by stressing that what really matters is that his daughter has everything she needs, and that his love as a father goes beyond social media. “If you believe everything that happens on social media, it’s your problem, not mine.”
Did Nodal attend his daughter’s birthday in Argentina?
Since Nodal refuses to share details of his private life — except for occasional videos with his current wife, Angela Aguilar — especially regarding his daughter, there was no confirmation about his whereabouts on September 14, the day of little Inti’s birthday party.
However, a video leaked on social media confirmed that Nodal was indeed present. Although there were already suspicions among Internet users about the attendance of the “Adiós Amor” singer at the birthday party, thanks to a video posted by Cazzu where his tattooed hand could be seen while he was holding the girl, it was a video shared by journalist Mandy Fridmann that completely corroborated it.
In the video, Julieta (Cazzu’s real name) and Nodal can be seen with their daughter Inti in the center, while he holds her. At that moment, they sing “birthday” to her, and the couple dances and smiles, showing an image of family happiness, despite not following the traditional model of a conventional family.
For Inti, Nodal goes to infinity and beyond
According to Fridmann, Nodal made a 19-hour trip to be able to arrive on time for his daughter’s birthday.
The artist, currently on a concert tour “Pa’l Cora Tour” in the United States, flew from the north of the United States to Argentina. Although he was in the country for less than 24 hours due to his work commitments, Nodal arrived at the party in the afternoon to share a few hours with Inti, who greeted him by running towards him with his arms outstretched.
