This Saturday, September 14, a new edition of the National Classic. Chivas de Guadalajara will visit the Ciudad de los Deportes Stadium to face Club América. Cade Cowell is confident that the Sacred Herd can do well.

This time, Chivas de Guadalajara is better positioned in the table. However, the recent results against the Águilas are not in their favor. The Sacred Flock has gone 13 games without beating the Azulcremas in the regular phase. Despite these details, Cade Cowell looks confident.

“We beat America last year, we tied with Tigres this yearyou could say that it has the highest paid players, but we are proving that We can compete against the best” said the forward who represents the United States national team to Azteca Deportes.

The former San Jose player relies on the harmony within the team. The “Vaquero” recognizes that Fernando Gago’s entire squad has a very good relationship defined their roles and try to do the best they can, according to the specifications and demands of the context.

“We have a great team, from whoever starts in the starting eleven to whoever comes off the bench, I think it’s a great team, very talented, we have very good chemistry.”, he explained.

Cade Cowell is the scoring weapon

Amid the absence of goals from forwards like Javier Hernandez, Cade Cowell has taken on that role at the start of this season. The 20-year-old winger has already matched his numbers from last season, having played just 8 games.

Counting the Leagues Cup and the start of the Apertura 2024, Cade Cowell has played 8 games (655 minutes on the field). During that number of commitments, the Sacred Flock attacker has scored 4 goals and has provided 2 assists.

The “Vaquero” already knows what it means to score a goal against the Águilas del América. In the round of 16 of the Concacaf Champions League, Cade Cowell scored a goal against the blue-cream team, in their stadium, in the red-and-white victory by 2-3.
