The actor Chad McQueenwho was the son of Steve McQueen and rose to fame for his role as ‘Dutch’ in the highly successful film ‘The Karate Kid’, He died at the age of 63.
According to TMZ, the media outlet that broke the news, his death occurred last Wednesday due to organ failure.
“We are told that he suffered an injury a few years ago that caused progressive organ failure and ultimately killed him,” the portal detailed.
The death of Chad, who had been away from the movie and television screens for several years, occurred inside his ranch in Palm Desert, Californiaand while he was in the company of one of his sons, his wife and his lawyer.
The news of his death was also shared on his Instagram account with a post made by his children and by his last wife, who recalled the wonderful moments he gave them, while asking for respect for the difficult time they are going through as a family.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Chad McQueen. His remarkable career as a loving father to us, along with his unwavering commitment to our mother, truly exemplified a life filled with love and dedication. His passion for racing not only highlighted his exceptional talent, but also served as a way to honor his father’s legacy, a testament to the values instilled in him.
“She passed on her passion, knowledge and dedication to us and we will continue not only her legacy but that of our grandparents as well. As a family we need to get through this difficult time and we kindly ask for privacy as we remember and celebrate her extraordinary life. With sincere gratitude, Jeanie, Chase and Madison,” reads the text with which they said their final farewell.
In addition to shining in the world of acting, where he was active for nearly 20 years, Chad was also passionate about motorsports and motorcycling, disciplines in which he was interested since he was a child and which he was able to practice professionally.
