How should you play the Powerball Double Play?
Double Play is a drawing that gives Powerball players a second chance. You can play with your Powerball numbers in a separate drawing, which has a maximum cash prize of $10 million..
To participate, you must add the Double Play feature to your Powerball ticket for an additional $1 per play.
Important: Powerball tickets that include the Double Play feature can win prizes in both draws.
How do you get your prize?
Just like Powerball, Double Play prizes are claimed in the state where the winning ticket was purchased. Players will generally be able to claim a prize of up to $600 at any authorized lottery retailer in the country where they purchased their ticket.
Prizes over $600 can be claimed at the main lottery headquarters in each case. There are also some authorized establishments, whose address you will have to check accordingly.
You have between 90 days and a year to request a prize redemption, depending on the restrictions in the jurisdiction where the ticket was sold. The expiration date is usually listed on the back of the ticket. If the expiration date is not listed, you should check with your state lottery.
