The legal representatives of Kylian Mbappé rejected on Wednesday the mediation proposal made by the Professional Football League (LFP) of France in the salary dispute between the Real Madrid player and PSG, with whom he played for the last seven seasons.

Mbappé’s legal representatives have said that the possibility of mediation has been “rejected” following the hearing held by the LFP on Wednesday. PSG owes Mbappé up to three months’ wages, according to the agreements.

How much money does PSG owe Kylian Mbappé?

The French striker, who left PSG on a free transfer after his contract expired on June 30, is demanding more from his former club $55 million dollars corresponding to a portion of his annual bonus of fidelity and three months’ wages.

The captain of the French national team has also appealed the non-payments to UEFA.

In a statement, Mbappé said he was “satisfied” with Wednesday’s hearing. He also said that, “in light of the documented arguments” presented to the League, “The mediation process” is what the Parisian club “has been seeking for many months.”

The LFP legal commission appealed to by Mbappé is competent, when it notes a non-payment to a player by a French club, to prohibit him from any new signing until the situation is regularized, something that the Parisian entity has avoided, for the moment.

In his note, PSG insisted that the striker “has made clear commitments, repeated both publicly and privately, and that these commitments must be respected by the player,” referring to the payments he would give up if he left the club for free, as happened.

He also recalled that these commitments take place “within the framework of seven fantastic seasons corresponding to an unprecedented investment by the club”, in a veiled allusion to the stratospheric salary agreed in 2022 during player renewal.
