Extreme heat in California: another day of high temperatures expected

He extreme heat affecting some areas of southern California will continue until the afternoon of Monday, September 9, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) yesterday.

“Potentially dangerous and record-breaking heat conditions are expected to persist across Southern California,” the NWS said in a report released Sunday, Sept. 8.

How high could the temperature be in California today, September 9?

The NWS indicated that maximum temperatures in the region could exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit”A decrease is expected from Tuesday,” the Meteorological Service added.

The alert covers a wide region of southwestern California, including Los Angeles County.

“Dangerously high temperatures of between 100 and 110 degrees are expectedand 110 to 114 degrees in the western San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita Valley. In addition, nighttime lows in the mid-70s or higher will make recovery from the heat difficult,” the NWS reported.
