Sherlyn, who has been very open about her desire to have another child, has decided to take a break from trying to expand her family.
The 38-year-old actress revealed that, after several attempts and medical treatments, she has not been able to fulfill her wish of giving her son André a brother, and that is why she is considering other options to expand her family.
During a conversation with the media at Mexico City airport, Sherlyn spoke candidly about the challenges she has faced in this process. Despite her desire to be a mother again, she has had to accept that, for the moment, she has not been successful. “Well, yes, I do want it, but it’s not happening.”the actress confessed. Despite the frustration that this situation can generate, Sherlyn remains positive and grateful for what she has: “When you try and things don’t work out, you have to focus on what you do have”he said, referring to his son André, whom he describes as a child “healthy, happy and smiling”.
The process with in vitro treatments
Sherlyn revealed that this year she tried in vitro fertilization treatment, a much more complex procedure than the artificial insemination she had previously undergone.
The actress explained that this type of treatment can be more difficult to cope with, both physically and emotionally, especially due to her age. “In vitro is much more invasive and it is done because I am older now”Sherlyn said. Despite all her efforts, she did not achieve the desired result, and she stressed that the process was exhausting, both physically and emotionally.
The actress also mentioned the side effects she experienced during the treatment, including weight gain, although she noted that in her case, it was not so extreme. “You gain weight, but in my case it was only two or three kilos”he shared.
Adoption as an alternative
Despite the obstacles, Sherlyn does not rule out other alternatives on her path to motherhood. Although for now she has decided to focus on her son and put this issue on hold, she mentioned that adoption is an option she could consider in the future. “If I’m going to get into the adoption thing, I can wait until Andrés is older.”she said, making it clear that her priority at this time is to enjoy her time with her son and make decisions calmly.
“We will see later”Sherlyn concluded, without closing the door to future attempts to expand her family.
