Casado added that, on the contrary, both Trump and his vice presidential candidate, Senator JD Vance, “want to make us go backwards with the dangerous and extreme agenda of ‘Project 2025’,” a government program developed by an ultraconservative group from which former President Trump distanced himself last July.

The vice president will be in North Carolina next Thursday and in Pennsylvania the following day.a tour with which he also wants to mobilize the Latino vote and “boost the enthusiasm” of the voters.

The events organized by the Harris-Walz ticket include more than 50 Latino parties to watch the presidential debate across the country, in states such as Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas, the campaign said.

With early voting about to begin and less than 60 days until the election, Harris’ campaign wants to convey the message of “opportunity” and confidence in the “American dream” to Latino voters, a message that will arrive in English and Spanish.

The Harris-Walz team will also launch a new Latino ad in key states titled “New Opportunity,” which highlights the importance of “strengthening our middle class, including a federal ban on food price gouging, capping prescription drug prices, and ending our country’s affordable housing shortage.”

The ad will offer state-specific versions in Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

The ad is part of a $370 million television and digital advertising buy between Labor Day and Election Day, the campaign said.

In the ad, the vice president says that “lowering the cost of living will be a key goal” of her term, during which she promises that, if elected, “more than 100 million Americans will get a tax cut” and that she will end the “housing shortage.”

“Now is the time to chart a new path forward,” Harris concludes in the announcement.
