The great start to the season that I was having Hirving “Chucky” Lozano The match was put on hold on Friday after PSV Eindhoven announced that the Mexican striker would be out of action indefinitely due to a muscle injury.

This announcement, which the Dutch club made on its social media, casts doubt on the presence of the Aztec striker in the first match of the revamped edition of the Champions League that PSV will be playing next Tuesday, September 17, at the home of Juventus in Turin.

Hirving “Chuck” Lozano He was reportedly injured during a friendly match between Eindhoven and Belgian side KRC Genk (1-1) on Thursday during the national team’s break.

PSV Eindhoven’s report talks about the situation of Mexican striker Hirving “Chucky” Lozano, although without giving further information.

The current Eredivisie champions did not specify how long the Mexican striker will have to rest, but he will initially miss his team’s next match, next Saturday, September 14, against NEC Nijmegen, corresponding to the fifth round of the Dutch championship.

Three days after that match, the Eindhoven team will be making their debut in the new edition of the Champions League with a tough away match against the Vecchia Signora, and it is not clear whether the Mexican striker will be able to be present.

Considering the good start to the season that “Chucky” Lozano is having, his injury is very bad news for coach Peter Bosz who had been giving the Mexican the opportunity to be in the team’s starting eleven after starting as a substitute.

“Chucky” Lozano’s numbers this season

The Mexican striker, who will bid farewell to PSV Eindhoven in December before leaving for his new club, San Diego FC, which will make its debut in the next MLS season in February, is having a dream start to this Eredivisie season.

After missing out on the Dutch Super Cup, “Chucky” Lozano has played four games so far in the Eredivisie, scoring the same number of goals, making him the top scorer in the Dutch championship so far.

The Mexican began to take advantage of the opportunities he received to play early on and scored a double in the first match of the tournament, helping PSV to win over Waalwijk (5-1) and subsequently scored in consecutive matches against Almere City (1-7) and Go Ahead Eagles (3-0).

The Mexican has only scored a goalless goal in his team’s 1-3 victory over Heracles, in which he also started the match on the bench but then came on in the second half.
