Finally, the selection of Mexico will face Valencia from Spain On October 12th, the first match of the double schedule that will take place on the October FIFA date, confirmed Ivar Sisniega this Friday, executive president of the Mexican Football Federation.

The confirmation of this duel was made by the leader through a video posted on social networks of the highest soccer entity in Mexico, where they rejected all the versions that assure that the scheduled game for October 12 at the Cuauhtémoc stadium would not take place.

In the video, Sisinega detailed the reasons for carrying out this duel: “Friends, today I am pleased to share with you that on October 12, the Cuauhtémoc Stadiumhome of Club Puebla, will be the stage for a very special match. As part of our preparation for the 2026 World Cup, our National Team will host Valencia from the Spanish league. This match is a great opportunity to see our players take on one of the clubs with great tradition in Spain.”

According to the versions of the possible cancellation, they were due to the fact that Valencia has currently only added one point from the twelve it has played in the first four dates of the Spanish League, where the Valencian team has recorded three defeats and one draw.

The setbacks have been recorded against Barcelona, Celta de Vigo and Athletic, settling for a miserable draw on the last date before the FIFA date in September with Villarreal, which has not generated much enthusiasm among Puebla fans for this match.

Faced with this reality, the organizers of the party are betting that the large Spanish colony that resides in the city of Puebla will meet in this building to celebrate Columbus Day as a commemoration of the discovery of America in the year 1492 and thus be able to have an influx of people. the home of the Puebla Camoteros of the Liga MX that was chosen as the venue for this match.
