California rapist who sexually assaulted 100 women is in controversy over parole

“Continuing to release sexually violent predators into underserved communities like Antelope Valley is irresponsible and unjust,” the district attorney said.

“Repeatedly placing these individuals in the same community demonstrates a blatant disregard for the safety and well-being of our residents. Our Deputy District Attorneys will persist in opposing Mr. Hubbart’s placement in Antelope Valley. We must demand more from our judicial system, ensuring decisions serve the best interests of our communities as we explore alternative locations for these placements.”

Hubbart has a long history of committing violent sexual crimes against women, with Sexual assaults dating back to 1973, 1982 and 1990He was convicted in Los Angeles and Santa Clara counties for a series of rapes.

In 2017, he was again admitted to Coalinga State Hospital after violating several terms of his probation.

“Residents of Juniper Hills, Pearblossom and Antelope Valley in general They have every right to express their concerns about the location of this predator. in their community,” Supervisor Kathryn Barger, whose district includes Antelope Valley, said in a statement.

His imprisonment comes after years of uproar and legal wrangling over a judge’s 2013 order to release him from the state psychiatric hospital where he had been civilly committed in 2000, as sexually dangerous person after serving his prison sentence.

The protests followed her arrival in July 2014 at a small house in Los Angeles.
