Los Angeles Dodgers Reclaim Yoshinobu Yamamoto: When Will He Pitch?

The Los Angeles Dodgers need pitching and will add Japanese player Yoshinobu Yamamoto this week. The Dodgers’ star on the mound will pitch again next Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs.

The right-hander had been on the injured list for nearly two months. During that time, The team has dealt with injuries to Clayton Kershaw, Tyler Glasnow and Walker Buehler.

With this addition, the Dodgers are preparing for the season finale and playoffs with a better rotation. Yamamoto has not pitched since June 15, when he was injured against the Kansas City Royals.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto is 6-2 with a 2.92 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 14 appearances this season.

The team would have a rotation made up of: Gavin Stone, Walker Buehler, Jack Flaherty and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Tyler Glasnow is expected to return for the end of the season and a hypothetical playoffs.

Dodgers return home to face Cleveland

The Dodgers are returning from a road series that ended with a winning record and a lead of more than five games in the NL West.

This Friday they will begin a series of three matches against the Cleveland Guardians, the best team in the American League Central Division. Cleveland is one of six teams to reach 80 wins this season.

Following the Guardians, the team will stay at Chavez Ravine for a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs.

This will be the penultimate stay at home. After these two series, the team will only have six home games left in 2024. (three against the Colorado Rockies and three against the San Diego Padres).

This Wednesday they fell 10-1 to the Los Angeles Angels after a fateful exit by Bobby Miller, who is set to be demoted to the Minor Leagues upon Yamamoto’s arrival.
