The old 10-cent coin that sold for $200,000 at the auction market

This term has been used by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) to indicate that the central band of the piece and the two outer bands are clearly and completely visible.

Of the coins printed at that time there are One particular 10-cent piece that fetched $200,000 on the auction market. This coin was manufactured between 1916 and 1945 in Denver. On the obverse side there is an image of Liberty and on the reverse side there is a bundle of sticks and an axe wrapped in olive leaf vines.

According to Heritage Auctions, in 2000 one of these coin specimens achieved the classification MS 66 on the PCGS scale, managing to be auctioned for thousands of dollars on the market and what distinguished it were the sets of double bands that horizontally cross the elements seen on the reverse.
