Juan Gabriel's house reopens its doors transformed into a museum

On August 28th, 8 years have passed since the unfortunate death of the great Juan Gabriel, who lost his life at the age of 66 in Santa Monica, California.

Despite his death, his legacy remains more alive than ever, as evidenced by the museum in his honor that has just opened its doors in what was once his home in the border city of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

The building, which is not yet 100% finished, as it will not be until October when the souvenir shop and restaurant open, has a very extensive collection of items that belonged to the ‘Divo de Juárez’.

“We are excited to welcome fans to this project that has been in development for over 20 years, since the first idea was presented to Don Alberto in 2005. He was always enthusiastic about the idea of ​​creating a museum in his home,” he said. Felipe Rojasdirector of the place, during the opening tour.

The museum, which spans the two floors of the house and down to the basement, features an immersive room where the singer’s fans can relive some of his most emotional concerts, as well as a dressing room, which was equipped with everything he asked for before his performances.

“He was a very mystical being, he followed Eastern philosophy a lot, in his dressing room he always had fruit, there was always a juice extractor because he drank green juices, he always burned cloves before his concerts to cleanse the environment,” he shared. Among the rooms that can be visited are the hall, the kitchen, the dining room, the living room and what was once the idol’s bedroom.

It is not yet known how much it will cost to visit the Juan Gabriel Museum, as entry is free, but this will not always be the case.
