When Christian Nodal married Ángela Aguilar, he knew he was getting involved with a woman protected by his father, Pepe Aguilar.
Nodal, who has been married to the singer for a month, has revealed details about his relationship with his father-in-law. During an almost hour-long interview with Molusco, while he was in Puerto Rico for his three concerts at the Coliseo, the Mexican artist opened his heart for the first time. Among other topics, Nodal spoke about his music, his career, and the handling of scandals and gossip on social media, as well as describing the dynamic between him and the patriarch of the Aguilar family.
“What is Pepe Aguilar like as a father-in-law?”Mollusk asked.
“I think everyone has a monster,” Nodal said, which prompted Mollusk to ask him: “Perception versus reality? Or maybe people’s perception?”.
“He has been super good to me; super, super good. He is a person who has been very empathetic,” said the singer, who offered his perspective on Aguilar’s intentions regarding him and his relationship with Angela.
“As a father, you always want the best for your daughters. And I am with his treasure, basically; with one of the most beautiful people he has in his life; one of his greatest loves. And he has received me with much love, with much affection and much respect,” Nodal shared.
The singer of “De los besos que te di” also spoke about what the relationship between him and Aguilar was like before there was a romantic relationship with Pepe’s youngest daughter.
“It’s very nice because whenever we met in the hallways there was a lot of musical and artistic respect. I didn’t know much about Pepe’s personal life and I don’t think he knew much about mine. So, when we sat down to talk it was very nice, the first time, the second time too. It’s been a very nice process and I feel supported by a great man,” Nodal continued, who expressed himself with emotion regarding the family union that exists between the Aguilars.
“I love being in a family that breathes so many cool things, from love, from cultures, from experiences, a lot of things. Pepe is a great guy.”he added.
“He’s a 6-foot-6 guy. Intimidating. I see him and he rarely smiles. He rarely laughs until you tell him a good joke. I never made it my business to visualize Pepe as, ‘Oh, that guy is going to be my father-in-law,’ so I feel like there’s a very different perspective than reality. He’s a great guy and he’s been very good to me.”he concluded.

During the recent celebration of the 56th birthday of the patriarch of the Aguilar family, followers of Pepe and Nodal had a glimpse of what the relationship between father-in-law and son-in-law is like.
Pepe shared a video on Instagram where he is seen shaking Nodal’s hand and giving him a hug full of affection, showing the camaraderie between the two. This gesture strengthens the bond between Angela Aguilar’s husband and his family, highlighting Nodal’s integration into the Aguilar dynasty. Pepe accompanied the video with the phrase “Starting the birthday celebrations 🎉 🫂“highlighting the family and affectionate atmosphere of the celebration.
