“Checo” Pérez regretted finishing in sixth place in the Dutch GP and blamed his tires

The Mexican Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez, of the team Red Bull Racingterm sixth this Sunday at the Dutch Grand Prix and He justified his result by referring to the degradation of his tires.; however, He was optimistic that he had detected the incident and was sure that his team would fix it soon.

“We have an understanding of what is happening with the car, We have confirmed it in this race after the previous sensations and I hope it’s just a matter of time before it’s fixed.“, the Mexican commented in statements to DAZN.

Perez is currently seventh in the drivers’ championship with 139 points and is fifteen behind the British Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes)..

“Now we are going to a totally different race in Monza, with very different requirements and we will see if we can be better.“, stressed Pérez, who stressed that he suffered a lot in turns nine and ten and acknowledged that it was “a difficult day.”

Last Saturday, After finishing fifth in the qualifying race at the Dutch GP, a better position was expected from the Mexicanbut unfortunately for him it failed to live up to expectations.

The Dutch GP was won by McLaren’s Landon Norris, while Perez’s teammate Max Verstappen took second place, with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc completing the podium.
