The Vice President Kamala Harris will campaign in Georgia next week, just days after accepting the Democratic nomination for President at the 2024 elections.

Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walzare scheduled to start on Wednesday a bus tour of the key state, beginning in southern Georgia, including the Savannah area, his campaign said.

“Campaigning in this part of the Peach State is key, as it represents a diverse coalition of Georgia voters, including rural, suburban and urban, with a large population of Black voters and working-class families,” the campaign said.

Georgia will be Harris and Walz’s second campaign tour. Just before the convention, they toured western Pennsylvania, a rural area, and even stopped in a county that leaned toward Donald Trump in the last election.

Former President and Republican candidate Trump announced today that he will hold a rally on Thursday, focused on the economy and the automobile industry, in another key state, Michigan, specifically in the town of Potterville.

Both candidates are close in the polls: according to the Five Thirty Eight aggregate, Harris has a voting intention of 47.2% and Trump 43.6%, so it is expected that they will intensify their efforts in key states.
