La Opinión Hoy: Kamala Harris leads against Trump in Latino votes in key states

Support continues to grow Kamala Harris, A new Voto Latino poll reveals a 13 percentage point increase in support for Democrats, Now with the candidacy of the vice president, who launched a WhatsApp channel for this population.

While in the poll, President Joe Biden registered 47%, Harris now reaches 60%, leaving behind former President Donald Trump, who has 29%.

Vice President Harris also has greater support in key states, according to results shared exclusively with this newspaper.

These results show a big jump in support for the Democratic nominee since April, from 47% for President Joe Biden to 60% who say they will vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.During the same period, support for former President Donald Trump fell 5 percentage points, as did that of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., going from 12% of voting intention to 5%.

Latino Vote He points out that the president also achieved better positioning among Latinos in almost all key states.

This survey was conducted between August 7 and 15, just days before the Democratic National Convention, and was conducted in Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Young voters are one of the groups most attracted to Kamala Harris, although President Biden also had a higher level than Trump, but the data shows significant progress for the Democrat.

In April, 40% of voters between 18 and 29 years old supported Biden against 32% for Trump and 18% for Kennedy, the new poll shows 61% support for Harris, 25% for Trump and 9% for Kennedy, women without college also increased considerably for the Democrats, since it went from 46% to 63%, college women registered a smaller but significant increase from 58% to 67, 49% of Latino voters think Harris is strong, far from the 5% who have the same opinion about Donald Trump.
