The former president Donald Trump held a campaign rally of the 2024 elections Saturday in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvaniaand complained that Biden dropped out of the race and Harris quickly took his place at the top of the Democratic Party ticket.

Before questioning why there should be a general election in November, Trump claimed Biden hated Harris.

“Joe Biden hates her (Kamala Harris), okay? He hates her. It doesn’t matter if I step off the teleprompter for a second. He hates her because she brought him down (…) I spent 100 million dollars campaigning against Biden. If I hadn’t debated him, he would still be running,” Trump added at the event.

The former president filled an 8,000-seat venue in this city of about 45,000 inhabitants in Pennsylvania, a state that will be crucial to the presidential aspirations of Trump himself and Kamala Harris.

“I am a more attractive person than Kamala”

Trump too criticized Vice President Harris’ physical appearancealthough his Republican allies have pressured him to focus on political differences with his political opponent.

“I’m a lot more attractive than she is,” Trump told supporters at a rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. “I’m a more attractive person than Kamala.”

“Harris is the most radical left-wing person who has ever run for public office (…) She will be easier to beat than Biden because I don’t know if he believes everything he does, but she is a true radical left-wing,” Trump said.

This is Trump’s seventh visit to Pennsylvania this year and at least the fifth time he has held a rally in Wilkes-Barre since 2016.

According to an average of 24 polls updated by the political outlet The Hill, Harris now has 48.2% of support in Pennsylvaniawhile Trump receives 47.4% in this ‘swing state’ where he suffered an assassination attempt last month.

Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, will also tour Pennsylvania on Sunday, mindful of its electoral importance, ahead of the Democratic National Convention that runs from Monday to Thursday in Chicago, Illinois.
