They say that the devil knows more because he is old than because he is the devil and in that sense Ricardo Antonio La Volpe’s great experience and knowledge of Mexican football allowed him to send a direct message to the new coach. of the Rayados of Monterrey Martin Demichelis, in the sense that it will not be easy to get outahead and triumph in the Monterrey team.

In an interview for BolaVip, La Volpe simply and plainly sent a reminder to his compatriot that just because he managed River Plate and was champion with the millionaire team does not mean that everything he does in Mexico will be easy: “I see Monterrey as a big team, just like River Plate, so the demand will be greater, everything I do or don’t do with Rayados will have a lot of significance,”

After training in Europe, both in Spain and at Bayern Munich, and after being a multi-champion as technical director at River Plate in Argentina, today begins a new challenge for Martín Demichelis as technical director of Rayados.💪🏼💙

Ricardo also said in this regard: “In a year and a half (Monterrey) has changed 3 or 4 coaches because they are not meeting their objectives of playing well and winning the championship. Beyond Demichelis’ experience at River, he will find himself with a team like Monterrey He is also a great player and is obliged to play in the championship, which is not easy for a coach. I hope he does well.”

The experienced former coach of Querétaro, Atlante, América, Chivas, Atlas, Toluca and Jaguares de Chiapas, as well as the Mexican national team, explained his reasons in order to present a range of demands for Demichelis, but without underestimating the abilities of the former Argentina national team player.

“It’s a good test for Demichelis, without a doubt a rivalry with Tigres that will make him put all his knowledge to use to get ahead, as well as a very demanding fan base, these will be the points he will have to overcome in his management. He comes with an important challenge, from a team whose board demands results and is obliged to give them without excuses,” he said.

For now, La Volpe is waiting to see what tactical aspects Demichelis will manage in a team that is used to being a protagonist. on any court in the Liga MX and whose ceiling will always be to be in the first places.

“It is an important challenge and one that will undoubtedly help his career if he manages to square the circle with a team.” which has great demands, great challenges and where there is not much margin for error,” he said.

To conclude, La Volpe highlighted that: “One knows what is happening in Monterrey, that people talk about football every minute, about the rivalry with Tigres, about a classic that is many times more important than the game against América, Chivas or Cruz Azul, because it is a regional rivalry, a neighbor’s rivalry, that at all times they try to make it known when you win or when you lose,” he concluded.
