Sinaloa is a Mexican state that is attractive for tourism due to its landscapes, beaches and gastronomy, among other things, but in recent years people have been visiting it for a very different reason than before, since the state is also the birthplace of several of Mexico’s most renowned drug traffickers and its regions have seen the most notable episodes involving them, giving rise to narcotours.
While organized crime is responsible for much of the violence in the Latin American country, as well as the drug addiction crisis facing the United States, Its protagonists have been portrayed in films, series and corridosawakening the curiosity of national and foreign tourists who seek to discover the most emblematic sites.
For this reason, Sinaloa has become the center of a new tourism, people come to the places to find out where it was hidden. Culiacan

“El Chapo” was seen in one of the hotels facing the beaches of Mazatlán in 2014, and that is where one of his captures took place. Twelve years earlier, on February 10, 2002, when the popular carnival was taking place on the boardwalk, he was murdered in the middle of Ramón Arellano Félix Street.
